Have you added coconut oil to your diet yet? If the answer is no, I encourage you to do so. The benefits can be nothing short of amazing.

I have used it for several years now to cook with and on my feet at bedtime. However, over the last few months as my reading on this food has increased – I now add it to almost everything – my morning coffee (really yummy!), my breakfast smoothie (I like to melt mine on the stove top first), as a spread on toast (gluten free or sprouted bread of course), a spoonful into a bowl of soup and certainly as I cook (a little on a sliced beet or asparagus or sweet potato in the oven is excellent).

I love that it can help to raise HDL; it is anti-bacterial and anti-viral; it can kill fungi and yeast that causes candidiasis, ringworm, athlete’s foot, thrush, diaper rash, and other infections.  It also kills parasites like tapeworms, lice, giardia, and others. It’s excellent for a quick, nutritional source of energy; it boosts endurance, and enhances physical and athletic performances. It also improves digestion and absorption of other nutrients including vitamins, minerals, and amino acids; it improves insulin secretion and utilization of blood glucose. It can reduce  the symptoms associated with pancreatitis and helps to relieve symptoms and reduce health risks associated with diabetes. It improves calcium and magnesium absorption and supports the development of strong bones and teeth as well as helps protect against osteoporosis. And, as if that wasn’t enough, this is just a sampling of it’s many benefits!

Choices …

Do you realize that one of the most dangerous places to buy your food can be your local grocery store? Processed, canned, bagged, boxed food is not real food!  Irradiated food is dead food. Please read the labels – in fact, buy food that does not come with a label on it!

As you read the labels, if you can’t pronounce all of the ingredients – put it back. If sugar or sucrose or high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) are in the top 5 ingredients – put it back. If it contains hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils – put it back.

Buy organic. Buy local. Buy “clean” meats if you eat meat. Drink clean water. Please support the farmers / businesses that are doing all they can to bring you and your family the best. It matters what you put into your body. It matters what you put onto your body. And parents, please make wise choices for your children.

Avoid aspartame. It is a documented neurotoxin. Avoid MSG. It is also a documented neurotoxin. Avoid fluoride. Avoid chlorine. Avoid GMO’s. Avoid refined grains (perhaps avoid grains all together – for many, even “whole wheat” is harmful). Avoid refined sugar.

Get your daily needs met for plant-based essential oils, fiber, antioxidants, water, minerals, etc … if you choose wisely, you can avoid 99% of diseases. Excellent health radiates from the inside out … So, choose well. Eat well, re-connect to the earth, relax, exhale, pray, and love those around you.

Muscadine Grape / Nature’s Pearl Facts

As I share information on the value of the Muscadine Grape for our health and the significant importance of the antioxidant protection that this single food supplies, people often have questions. Here are some of the most common questions ~ and the answers:

1. How are Muscadine Grapes different from table / wine grapes? Muscadine grapes has 20 pairs of chromosomes. Other grapes have 19. That may not seem like a big difference but from a genetic standpoint, I assure you it is (kinda like the difference between an ape and a human)! Muscadines are actually in the berry family – so better compared to a blueberry, raspberry, etc. than to a grape when it comes to it’s nutritional power.

My Skin Has Never Looked Better!

A few months ago, I was introduced to the Muscadine Grape and the benefits of it’s seeds / skin. Now, growing up in the south, I have eaten these grapes my entire life – but I always spit out the seeds and tossed the skins. Now I learn I threw away 97% of the benefits!

Excellent Studies Released on Earthing

As I have shared on numerous occasions, anything (everything) we can do to reduce cellular inflammation is key to our long-term health. This includes the quality of the foods we eat, the supplements we take, being aware of the toxins we are exposed to, etc. Fortunately, there is much we can do to reduce any inflammation that exists today and prevent more in the future. And, doing so is KEY to our health.

Cancer: A New Overview with Parent Essential Oils to the Rescue

While discussing the evils of cancer with a colleague, I realized how to simply explain what cancer really is. First let me state what it is not. It is not an invader in our bodies like a virus or bacterial infection. It is not a genetic distortion determined to kill us. It is not an evil genius malcontent buried deep within us waiting to strike its unsuspecting host. Cancer is none of these things.

Cancer is the body, at the cellular level, attempting to survive by reverting to a primitive survival mechanism. Surprisingly, it’s that simple.

Over 80 years ago, Nobel Prize-winner Otto Warburg, M.D., Ph.D., proved that a 35% reduction in oxygen caused any cell to either die or turn cancerous. American experiments from 1953-1955 confirmed the result. We all know that heart attacks can stem from lack of oxygen. Well, so does cancer. You need to know this. You also need to know that normal, healthy cells get most of their energy by using oxygen in a process called “respiration.” This can be contrasted with the way cells utilize energy without sufficient oxygen, called “fermentation.” Fermentation of sugar provides a way for cells to keep going even in the presence of partial oxygen deprivation. In the presence of oxygen deficiency, cells that can’t obtain enough energy through fermentation perish. But the cells which succeed in utilizing fermentation exhibit their innate will to survive; these are the ones that don’t die from the oxygen deficiency.

As directed by Nature, in using this alternative source of energy, our cells are fulfilling their primary mission, which is to stay alive and reproduce. This takes place on all levels for all living things, and in the case of oxygen deficiency, cells are struggling to survive in a hostile environment of humans’ own making. That’s right; we unknowingly have forced our own cells to become cancerous.

After it begins, the disease worsens, since most humans hosting it never feel the cancer growing and so we don’t take corrective measures. Once it shows up in lab tests, you’ve hosted the cancer for years, often decades.

Nature has given every cell the potential to survive without oxygen, through fermentation. If that potential is not developed enough, then the cell will die when the oxygen drops below the 35% threshold. If none of our cells run without oxygen, they would die immediately with no possible chance of future survival. Chronic deficiency of oxygen damages the mitochondria (energy producers) of the cell so the cell, if it can, reverts to the ancient energy source of fermentation of sugar. A cancer cell running on fermentation can stay alive (without growing) with just 20% of a normal cell’s energy.

But one major problem is that this method is very inefficient. The cells that can run on fermentation without oxygen stay alive and become more prevalent as other cells die. But there is a huge price to be paid; lack of cellular intelligence  – these cells have the intelligence of “dumb yeast.” Cancer is not an “ultra intelligent” entity, as many misled researchers portray; instead, it is the “idiot cell” that can survive but do little more than reproduce more “idiot cells.” So these cells lose their differentiation as functional parts of the body and spread as useless masses of tissue, eventually interfering with and shutting down the body’s functions if nothing is done to prevent it.

This book details the molecular biochemistry of why cancer develops and shows that no genetic cause need be found. We have described above how cancer is not a foreign invader, but is rather a primitive defense mechanism for survival.  But it is easy to see how earnest, well-intentioned researchers went down the genetic path by mistake. They understood that cancer comes from within our own bodies. But they viewed our bodies’ cells as being somehow genetically programmed to “turn on themselves.” This is where they make their mistake. The body is not turning on itself; instead, it is struggling to survive in the only way it can.  The cells that can, will survive using fermentation and the remaining cells, if unable to use sugar as fuel to survive and reproduce, will perish. Again, it isn’t a genetic message, but simply our bodies sending an SOS that we are sinking ourselves.

Looking in the wrong direction for decades is why cancer researchers have made trivial progress over the last 30 years in comparison with other fields like computer science and physics. I couldn’t resist the following illustration because it makes the point well … (photo of merry-go-round).

It is a sad state of affairs. With all the money, time, and brainpower dedicated to going down wrong research paths INSTEAD of finding a practical, usable solution to cancer and its prevention, the “experts” resemble little children on a merry-go-round. They go round and round in a fantasy world and end up in the same place where they started … regardless of their failures.

Surprise: Cancer is a Systemic Problem, Not a Local One!

Many physicians think that cancer is a localized issue, meaning only the affected tissue is the problem because the genes are ruined there. This is incorrect. Cancer is not and has never been genetic in origin. What is correct is that the cancerous tissue is the MOST OXYGEN DEPRIVED TISSUE; that’s why that particular tissue became cancerous. However, you’ve got much more to worry about than only the one cancerous ones. I’d like to acknowledge Homer Macapintac, M.D., chair and professor of nuclear medicine at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for stating this truth that women need to know: “Breast cancer is not a local problem. It is a systemic (whole body) problem.”

Why are Cancers so resistant to Treatment Once They Return Years Later?

Oncologists will tell you that if cancer returns, then chemotherapy often won’t work again. It fails. The cancer will “outsmart it.” Never forget that cancer isn’t foreign, like a viral or bacterial invader. Therefore, there is nothing to “outsmart.” The reason for the returning cancer’s virulence requires understanding these technical points you will discover in this book:

  1. All cells require, utilizing oxygen for energy. All cells can also ferment to a lesser or greater extent. This cellular capability to ferment existed from the beginning of time when life existed without oxygen.
  2. Chemotherapy and radiation kill cells, both respiring (normal) ones, and cancerous (fermenting) ones. If respiration (oxygen transfer) falls below a specific minimum, even for a cancer cell, it will die. Normal cells survive chemo and radiation better than cancer cells, because they start with a better respiration; therefore they have better residual respiration after chemo / radiation treatments.
  3. However, during cancer’s latency period (the time where fermentation takes the place of the cells’ ruined respiration, causing full-blown cancer), the surviving descendents of the normal cells compensate for the decreased respiration with increased fermentation capability. Therefore, the cells that live and haven’t been killed are NOW prime candidates for a continued oxygen deficient environment. Lack of oxygen won’t kill these cells, because they thrive in a de-oxygenated environment. Therefore, they can easily become fully cancerous; they possess the EXACT CONDITIONS needed (high fermenting cellular capability bred through “treatment”) to cause more cancer in the future. The chemo and radiation will be much less effective this time around because we have created (through “treatment”) a more efficient cell that can better utilize fermentation with decreased respiration capability, i.e. cancer.

Remember, our cells are trying to stay alive, but they can’t get the necessary oxygen for respiration. In it’s absence, they run on sugar (carbohydrates), the energy source for fermentation. Cancer is the cells’ last-ditch effort to survive. (And when cancer patients consume carbohydrates, they are feeding the cancer.)

How Do We Become Oxygen Deficient?

How do we become oxygen deficient at the cellular level? Simple: through eating adulterated oils and fats from the food processing industry and from your supermarket’s cooking oil section. These adulterated oils have a long shelf life but have lost their oxygenation ability. They started out containing the functional, vitally needed oxygen-transferring PEO’s (Parent Essential Oils), but they were ruined by processing and refining. We are giving ourselves cancer by eating common, everyday processed foods! Transfats are only the “tip of the iceberg” of the methods used by food processors to obtain long shelf life and ruin the oxygenation capability of fats.

Muscadine Grape – Proven to Inhibit Cancer Cell Growth

The Nature’s Pearl Muscadine Grape Supplement has recently under gone extensive study at Wake Forest University. The results of the study was so strong in showing the inhibition of seven types of human cancer cells that additional studies are currently underway.

In the trial completed in the spring of 2011, breast (triple negative), colon, prostate, lung, skin, brain cancer and leukemia cells were inhibited during the in vitro study. The results were so strong that in vivo studies are now underway. In my opinion, this is a supplement that every man, woman and child can benefit from by taking it on a daily basis.

But the best research on its anticancer action was done in the 1990s by Dr. Daniel Nixon at the Medical University of South Carolina’s Hollings Cancer Institute. … His research showed ellagic acid to be effective against colon, cervical, breast, prostate, lung, esophageal and pancreatic cancer, as well as melanoma and leukemia. … foods containing ellagic acid include (the Muscadine grape), red raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, walnuts, pecans, cranberries …. 46 different fruits and nuts.” (my note – in varying amount – the muscadine and raspberry and known to be of the highest and the Muscadine is the only one known to also contain high amounts of other cancer-inhibiting substances like quercetin, OPCs, resveratrol – it’s the extra chromosomes that set it apart – 20 vs 19 for the others – These plus other compounds in the grape have been shown to work synergistically to control the path by which cancer cells die. Bowel Health

Our digestive health is KEY to our overall physical health. We have all heard “you are what you eat.” Well, really you are what you eat AND what your body can digest and utilize. There is a BIG difference.

Because the majority of the world (certainly the American “world”) lives on chronically nutrient depleted “foods” – foods that have been refined and overly processed with basically all of the nutrition removed and man-made chemicals and preservatives added – I believe that many are basically starving at the cellular level. Add to this “insult” the toxins that we are exposed to in our environment or through the medicines we take or through the utilization of synthetic supplements and the stress that we live under and we can truly end up in quite a “mess”. And we wonder why we get sick! Did you know that your intestines are the largest immune organ in your body? So, if your bowels aren’t healthy and functioning properly, it’s real hard for the rest of you to be healthy.

So, when someone who has consumed the “Standard American Diet” (SAD) for basically all of their life – their cells will be living and functioning in a overall unhealthy environment (kinda like bathing your cells in very dirty water – or worse).

Then, they may decide to “clean up” their diet and add healthy, raw, organic foods to their diet. This is overall a good thing! But, some may experience a little “discomfort” in the beginning.

One reason for this is because of a detoxification process. As someone adds a high level of nutrition to their life, their cells begin to “clean house”. This causes a “dumping” of the toxins and “sludge” that have been within the cells. If this happens too quickly, a person can feel worse before they feel better. This can be anything from a headache to joint pain to diarrhea. The addition of nutrition is vital – but a s-l-o-w addition for some may help the body adjust to this very important influx of nutrition. So, if it happens to you, consider decreasing the initial amount, cooking the food rather than consuming it raw, hydrate properly and give your body time to comfortably accommodate this very positive change. When these changes are enjoyed, more changes can be made. Over time, your cells will love you for it!

Most of us live under significant stress. Add to that the overall poor quality of our diets (coffee, tea, soda, processed/fast foods, smoking, stress, etc), aging, and because of medicines we may take, the overall “environment” of our gut is not always ideal. Again, the overall poor condition of our food / water supply; environmental toxins; medicines, etc can all negatively impact our ability to properly digest and utilize food – even the healthiest foods. Remember, your body must be able to utilize the food that you are giving it. If you can’t digest and absorb it – you can’t utilize it at the cellular level.
